happy belated half birthday to me...

well hello all! monday was my official half-birthday and we got so caught up in the moment that my mommy forgot all about updating the blog! actually, she didn't really forget...
you see, when you turn six months old, you have to go to the doctor. i love dr. gonzalez. he always says i am "in good spirits" and it's true! he makes me giggle and smile because he has a funny string hanging around his neck that i like to pull. this visit was a memorable one! daddy is out of town this week so mommy got to be brave and take me for my shots all by herself. as soon as mommy pulled down my diaper for dr. gonzalez to check me out, i couldn't hold it any longer!!! i let loose the strongest flow of urine to date. all over the window, blinds, my chart, and almost dr. gonzalez (all before mommy could cover me up)!! ha!! i am officially 23 lbs 3 oz, 28 inches long, and am off the charts growth-wise! i can even take medicine in doses meant for two-year-olds! i did end up getting my shots at this visit and let me tell you...i was NOT happy! three shots and a flavored one to drink...BOO!!! thankfully my mommy (and mommy's boob) was there with me!

after the shots, we got home and i had another first in life...i ran a real temperature. 101 to be exact. i tried to still play and laugh but i just couldn't do it. mommy gave me some yummy cherry stuff that made me feel much better. after two days of fever, i was all better! thanks, mommy!

shots or no shots, i was a trooper! i wanted mommy to still get some good six month pictures of me so i posed the best way i know how...

on wednesday, mommy took me over to my aunt dee's house so i could have a joint six month shoot with my cuz, drew. my other cuz ryan got to be the assistant photographer with mommy. here are some of the money shots...

daddy comes home tomorrow night!!! i am so excited to see him and show him all the new stuff i learned how to do this week! thanks for keeping up with us!
