Someone got a new toy and is VERY excited to tell you about it!

Look at me REEEEACH for my toy bar!

And WHY didn't you get me this sooner?!

Even though my feet don't quite touch the floor yet, I still LOVE my bouncy seat!

That's right...our little monkey is growing up! Yesterday marked his official growth into size 9 month clothes (keep in mind he's only three months old!). He is right at 18 pounds and we still can't believe how much he changes with each picture we take of him. He is so precious to both of us...far beyond anything we could have imagined! He is daddy's little nap buddy and mommy's sweet joker. He still LOVES his mobile on his pack 'n play and squeals with delight each time we put him in there to play with his "friends". He is SO excited that mommy only has twenty one days of work left and then it's summer time!!! Also, he can't wait for his first trip to the beach with mommy and daddy this summer. Please continue to pray for our family as we continue to attempt to raise our sweet Malachi to live up to the meaning of his name...messenger of God. Never before has God's grace and provision been so tangible.
We can literally hold our God's faithfulness in our arms.

Unworthy,
Steve and Molly

p.s.--this is mommy's FIRST mothers' day!!

On Saturday, Malachi was my hot date for Andrea's baby shower (the hot preggo in the picture). Little did we know what would ensue on the way home....

I thought God said He wouldn't flood the Earth again?!?!?!?!

Our view of the "road"...there is supposed to be a curb and street on the right

Someone thinks he is MONTHS older than he really is...trying to sit up in his Bumbo (with a little help from his Ghi)

Thanks to Bill Muench, Malachi was rockin' the old skool Charles Barkley Rockets' jersey for his daddy's team's practice!

What a happy boy!

What Malachi really does all day

Please pray for our little monkey. He was definitely NOT himself all day, is full of mucus, and is running a little bit of fever. We go see his pediatrician Dr. Gonzalez (LOVE HIM!) tomorrow to get to the bottom of this little blip. Mommy had to take another half day off work...darn! :)

Just so you know, the "friends" I refer to in this little video are the three characters on Malachi's mobile...thank you, Uncle Chad, for fixing the mobile!! Words can't describe how much he enjoys it!

Still so unworthy of such a blessing,
Steve and Molly

HAPPY EASTER!!

Here are the three little Easter eggs themselves...
Drew (11 weeks), Hailey (8 weeks), and Malachi the Giant (10 weeks)

Love was in the air!

The stuffed monkey was a teething toy, right mommy??

There. That's more like it.
Look at all my toys!

A new stroller to grow out of! Yay!

Happy Easter, Malachi!

I couldn't help but notice you noticing me...

Although Malachi looks confused, he sure loves his daddy!

Our Easter family picture (right before he spit up all over his shirt!)

During the egg hunt, he made out like a bandit!
Ok, ok...his daddy may have helped!

Our family usually looks for any occasion to get together, eat ourselves silly, and just enjoy being a family. So, Easter was definitely a day to do just that!
This year, we welcomed the Anderson family (Jamie, John, and Hailey) into our family's Easter traditions (and all the holidays yet to come this year). We figured if Hailey is going to eventually be wed into this family, she might as well get a head start on the festivities. :)

Before we forget or get too busy to post them, let's recap some "firsts" that our little monkey has been up to...
First set of shots (March 27th)...mommy was more upset than he was!

First hat...Thank you, Carter's!

First night in a "big boy" crib...in his own room!! (March 22nd--7 1/2 weeks old)
That is all for now, but just you wait...Malachi is becoming a little more independent every day so we may actually get to post more often! :) We hope you enjoyed the peek into our little monkey's first Easter!

Back to reality...

Today marked my return to work. Not to say it wasn't extremely hard to leave my baby, but God answered my desperate prayer for peace throughout the day! I think I had psyched myself out prior to this morning. It was almost impossible to sleep last night thinking about not being with my monkey, but God eventually lulled me into slumber...and Malachi even slept a little over six straight hours!! Yay!!

I didn't cry today but I did get teary-eyed while I was nursing him this morning...I knew as soon as I was done it was time to leave. I can't tell you how blessed Steve and I are to have my mom come to our house and take care of him during the day! God is good!!

In case you're wondering, my little monkey is becoming quite the primate...
at his two-month check-up he was just under 14 pounds and 24 inches long!! He is ten weeks old today and has graduated to bigger sized bottles!! Ahh!! He has also really taken a liking to "dancing"...(video to come)...

we're alive!!

It is INSANELY busy being a mommy all day (and many times throughout the night), espeically when your little baby has his first encounter with his sinuses. I just wanted you all to know that we are still alive and thriving...just VERY VERY busy!! Please pray for me as I will be going back to work on Tuesday. It breaks my heart to think about leaving my little boy all day, but by the grace of God my mom is able to be a stay-at-home grandma!!!!! I don't know what I would do without her!
He will be ten weeks old the day I go back and I can't tell you where the time went. So many people told me that it would go by so fast and to them I say, "YOU WERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!" I don't want to take a single day for granted! We are praying that God would open up a way that I could stay home when next school year comes, but it is a long waiting process sometimes. :) God is faithful and I have nothing to be anxious about! We serve a God who is mighty to save and ready to help.

Molly

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!
Target's dollar bins are too much fun when you have a willing model!

Steve is quite proud of Malachi the "gangsta".

You're still Irish even if it's a minute fraction, right??

Me and mommy at Barnes and Noble (about to go change my diaper!)

"Milk drunk".

St. Patrick's Day was a blast! We went to Barnes and Noble with Jamie and Hailey and continued to fun into Jason's Deli and Target too! There are more pictures, but there is a little boy who is waking up quite angrily in the next room...I must go!

Unworthy,

Molly

p.s.--tomorrow we get to meet Witt Lupher!!

FINALLY AN UPDATE!

Ok, so before you think I have just been the laziest person in the world for not updating the blog, let me just say...I HAVE A BABY!! It is absolutely crazy how your entire life changes when you are suddenly responsible for another human life! Being pregnant was one thing, but actually having my son here is incredibly amazing (and still scary at times)!

Lately Malachi has had some Mommy-can't-put-me-down-anywhere-without-me-crying problems. He just loves his mommy (and the milk machine I have turned into!). Thankfully, he usually has his daily nap on his daddy's chest for an hour or so but the past few days, this has been the only break I've gotten. Don't get me wrong, I adore my baby and love feeling needed, but it is nice to get to pee every now and then. :)

Just in case you're not keeping up with the times, Malachi is going to be SEVEN WEEKS OLD on Tuesday! AHH!! Where did it go??

As promised, here are the awaited latest pictures of my little monkey (now becoming a chunky monkey)...complete with some of his blushing bride, Hailey Anderson. Enjoy!

Malachi all suited up to watch the Rockets prevail!

"You think the Rockets should trade WHO?!"

Chicka-Bow-Bow! If you look closely, you can see his little arm is around Hailey!

I do believe Hailey is drooling over my boy.

Malachi out with the ladies (me, Jamie, and Hailey) at Jason's Deli.

We take him all the way to the park and he was so excited on the way there, he slept through the entire visit.

Although his outfit says he loves his mommy, he thinks his daddy is ok too.

Pure style.

Ah, yes, the "daddy nap" I spoke of.

Well, that's all for now. I hear a little monkey in the next room grunting and groaning for some mommy time...ok, he just wants to use me for my milk. So be it!

Unworthy,
Molly

p.s.--before I forget, I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Rensimer (infectious disease guru) and everything looks great! I go back in three months to do more blood work to make sure the infection hasn't come back. If all is good that visit, I am done! Yay!
